COVID Compliance

Your health, safety and well-being are our top priority, especially as the COVID situation continues.  We are continuously monitoring and following updates from the Commonwealth and Victorian Governments and are updating our COVID compliance on a regular basis.

Safe Working Environment

For the safety of our staff and the community, The Temporary Alternative is strongly encouraging social distancing where possible. Communal areas will be reconfigured when required to accommodate staggered seating and increased space. Physical distancing along with occupancy limits will be enforced in our meeting rooms, private phone booths, kitchens as well as reception when required. Perspex screens have also been installed at reception, acting as an extra barrier. Where mandatory, our staff and visitors are required to wear masks.


At The Temporary Alternative we are working to the highest standards of hygiene with frequent touchpoint, surface and workspace cleaning to meet health and safety regulations.

  • Hand sanitiser stations has been placed at reception, meeting rooms and cleaning of high touch surfaces.

  • Frequency of cleaning will continue to be monitored in compliance with DHHS guidelines.

  • Signage has been installed throughout the office as a reminder of key hygiene measures.

Suspected Cases

We have altered the environment within our business to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and create a safe place for everyone. However, in the event of a suspected or confirmed case of Covid-19, The Temporary Alternative will remain vigilant and quick to respond. If you are unwell, showing the mildest symptoms or have been in contact with a confirmed case, we advise that you do not enter the premises. In the interest of the safety our staff and you, The Temporary Alternative will refuse entry to anyone suspected to be unwell. In the event of a confirmed case, management will follow advice from the DHHS and ensure you are constantly updated. If advised The Temporary Alternative office will then be closed in order to perform a detailed and intensive clean. Once it is has been confirmed that the contaminated areas have been declared safe, The Temporary Alternative will reopen for business.

Common Areas

The Temporary Alternative has increased cleaning frequency which sees all high touch surfaces disinfected daily in order to ensure communal areas remain sanitary and disinfected.

Meeting Rooms

Meeting rooms remain open. For your safety, additional cleaning and when require capacity limitations will be put in place for meeting rooms, boardrooms and lounge facilities. Please adhere to the capacity restrictions and maintain social distancing while using these spaces. Hand sanitisers have been placed in all meeting rooms and will be cleaned after every meeting.


Our reception desk will continue to be staffed by our team to assist you with any enquiries you may have. We ask that when you approach the front desk or are in the reception area that you observe social distancing measures as outlined by the Victorian government. As a safety precaution in case of a confirmed case within The Temporary Alternative office, guests must check in at reception at the time of each visit.
